Shannon grew up in a small Northern California rural town before attending college in Redding, California and then in Turlock, California where she met and married her husband, Greg. In Turlock, Shannon and the Administrative Assistant at Aspira Foster Family Agency (now Aspiranet). Greg's job moved the family to Boise in 1999 and in 2004 with four children already in tow, they decided it was time to become foster parents. During their fostering experience from 2004-2018, they adopted five children. In 2011 Shannon finished her multi-disciplinary degree concentrating in Psychology and Family Studies at Boise State University. Along with fostering, Shannon was a Resource Peer Mentor at the launch of the program in 2007 until 2016, a pre-service co-trainer also since 2007, and currently helps coordinate the Idaho Wednesday’s Child Program. Shannon's favorite hobby is spending time with her husband, all of their children and spouses, their two adorable grandbabies, and last but not least, their Great Pyrenees, Max.
