Short Bio About Aliana

Aliana is a one-of-a-kind teen who truly embodies the definitions of fortitude and resilience! Wise beyond her years, she is very skilled for her age at communicating her needs and has already put a tremendous amount of thought into what she wants for her future and the qualities she hopes to find in her adoptive family. Aliana has been blessed with a magnetic personality and the ability to get through the difficult times in her life by focusing on the positive things around her. She has a wide range of interests, with a few of her current favorites being sports and shopping.  She works hard in school and already has big plans for her future, with a goal in place to become an Anesthesiologist. This kind and compassionate girl prides herself on being a good friend and someone that others can rely on when they are struggling.

Aliana shared that the single most important thing she needs from her future family is for them to value and support her ongoing relationship with her biological siblings, as they are such an important part of her life. She also wants prospective parents to know that she will need them to be patient with her, since being in a new family can be overwhelming at times and she may need some time and space to process things before she can begin to really open up and trust. Another trait that Aliana feels will be a good fit for her is to have parents who are supportive and open-minded. Being in foster care can be restrictive sometimes and she longs for the ability to make more choices for herself in terms of her friendships, her clothing and appearance and other things that are typical for teens to have some control over to express themselves and to grow in their identity. She is excited about finding a family who will encourage her in her education and extra-curricular activities and can’t wait to see them in the stands at her games cheering for her, or for them to just spend time with her playing basketball in the driveway at home. Throughout all the hard things she has been through, Aliana has kept a great sense of humor and hopes to find a family who enjoys laughing and doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Her ideal family will love to travel and explore new places and she can’t wait for those adventures to begin!

Aliana needs people to know a few more really important things: She desperately wants a dog of her own who will always be there to comfort her; She needs a family who will never give up on her and will stay in her life forever, not just until she turns 18;  She values her Christian faith and wants a family that will attend church with her; and lastly, she has dreamt for years about how wonderful her Quinceanera   will be and wants a family who understands how important that rite of passage is for her in her culture and who can’t wait to help her plan all of the details and make it happen!

A Spanish speaking family who resides in the Treasure Valley area and has other children in the home would be Aliana’s idea of the perfect fit for her, however she is really open to any kind of family make-up and also feels that a move to a new city or state could be a wonderful new adventure!
