Meet Devontae.

WCID# 69260
Gender: Boy
Age: 15
Ethnicity/Race: Black or African American

Let us introduce you to Devontae! This amazing young man wants prospective adoptive families to know that he is hard-working, caring, kind, funny, and easy to talk to. He prides himself on being a good listener and a great friend. Devontae is so ready to find his Forever Family, a family who will spend time with him playing games, watching superhero or scary movies, going camping and traveling. He would love to visit Disney World and Harvard University!

Devontae loves to stay active and has many other interests as well including riding his bike, playing at the skate park, hiking, fishing, swimming, playing video games and listening to music that runs the gamut from Rap to Hip-Hop, Pop and Country. He also enjoys playing basketball and football. Like most teens, his favorite activity is really anything that involves hanging out with his friends. Devontae is very creative and one day hopes to go to college to become a Graphic Designer. If he were magically granted 3 wishes, Devontae tells us that he would wish for a family that loves him; a family who will treat him like he is truly their own child and a dog.

Devontae’s Permanency Team is searching for a two-parent family with both a mom and a dad, either with or without other children in the home. Caregivers who have TBRI training or good trauma knowledge would be wonderful to find. A family with an engaged, positive father who can help guide Devontae into becoming the type of man he yearns to be would be a tremendous fit for him! Parents who are fun, active, patient and structured-yet flexible and understanding, would be a perfect match. Devontae has 5 younger siblings who reside in Florida. His team would love to hear from interested Idaho families, as well as from families who reside in Florida or other states, who can commit to helping him maintain his relationship with his siblings. If you believe that all of the fun and energy this deserving young man has to offer would make for a great fit for your family and you would like to find out more about Devontae, we can’t wait to hear from you!
