Diamond truly lives up to her special name and is a caring, loyal, and affectionate teen who is anxiously awaiting a Forever Family to guide her into adulthood and help her realize her dreams of a bright future! Diamond is a very resilient young woman who is really proud of the fact that she keeps a good attitude and is growing stronger day by day emotionally, even though she has been through some pretty hard things. The trait she loves most about herself is that she is strong-willed yet has also managed to stay really kind-hearted. Diamond never gives up on herself or those she cares about and describes the motto she lives by as “Big or small, I’ll give it my all!”.
Activities like playing soccer, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding are several of Diamond’s favorite things to do. When she isn’t outdoors, she enjoys puzzles; drawing; board games; Pokémon cards, Naruto anime and watching mystery and action movies. Diamond is a good student and likes school, other than the fact that she is not a huge fan of science class! She isn’t sure yet exactly what she wants to do after high school but is already wise enough to know that she needs a supportive and committed family to grow, thrive and have a happy and successful life!
Diamond describes the perfect family for her as one who enjoys being active, but also prioritizes just spending time at home being together. She hopes they love music and that they might be able to help her get even better at playing the piano. Diamond is ok with a family who attends church, but also with a family who doesn’t. She loves dogs and does well with pets in the home. This adventurous girl LOVES holidays, especially all the fun surrounding Halloween. Diamond really values family traditions. She can’t wait to share her own past traditions with her adoptive family and to become a part of new family traditions moving forward.
Diamond’s Permanency Team is searching for a home-studied Idaho family, ideally in the Treasure Valley area, who is open to providing Permanency for Diamond in the form of Adoption, Guardianship, or even extended foster care since Diamond is now over eighteen. Diamond is still finishing school and would do well in a home that is able to provide her with the support and care that she needs. They are open to homes with varying parent make-up and to a home with other children, as Diamond is excited about the possibility of having siblings. Though she is entering adulthood, Diamond has not outgrown the need to be loved, treasured, and valued and to have family bonds that will last throughout her life. If you have a special heart for teens and can already see this amazing teen as the missing piece to your family’s puzzle, we would love to hear from you today!
