Meet Dru.

WCID# 38370
Gender: Boy
Age: 8
Ethnicity/Race: White or Caucasian

Dru is a natural helper! This sweet young man is very proud of this quality and enjoys having special jobs within his family that he can be responsible for, especially outdoor jobs. Dru has fun when helping with digging or chopping wood and loves being a part of the “family team” with the trusted adults in his life. Always a jokester, Dru loves to laugh and finds joy in making the people he cares about feel valued and special. He can’t wait to spend his first Mother’s/Father’s Day with his new family so that he can celebrate and show them how much he appreciates all that they do for him.

Dru’s other favorite activities include hiking or playing and watching football and soccer. He has played club team soccer in the past and is hoping to get the opportunity to do that again once he gets settled in with his new Forever Family. Dru also loves collecting transformers, painting and playing board games. Dru dreams of visiting a military base so that he can see all of the army men and their machinery and learn more about what it is that they do. He has already visited Texas and hopes to go on vacations and traveling adventures with his new family. He would be especially thrilled to get to go to a beach in California!

Dru is a very resilient young man who is ready to move on from his past and concentrate on building an amazing new future with a family who will provide him with the commitment, nurturing, structure and stability he so deserves. Dru would thrive in a home where he can be the only child, however a home with older siblings may also be a good fit for him. He does very well with the male role models in his life and is open to a mom and dad, a single father, or a two-dad family. Caregivers with an understanding of childhood trauma or TBRI training would be an excellent fit for Dru! If you believe that you have what Dru’s Permanency Team is searching for in a family for him, we can’t wait to hear from you!
